Comfort
The standard North America Business Class seat has generous seat pitch and width. I’m overweight and can fit both my arms inside the armrest. The B737 has wider middle armrests than the A220, so a whole bottle of water can fit into the laptop compartment. The leg rest is a welcome comfort in addition to the steep recline. The adjustable headrest also has wings to stop your head from rolling around while sleeping.
I like the cloth material; it’s comfortable, warm, and adds a touch of class to the premium cabin. The tray table folds out from the armrest and has a half-sized snack configuration and a full sized meal configuration.
In-flight entertainment
The screen at the bulkhead isn’t within arm’s reach, so if you plan on watching movies you should pick one of the rows behind. The left side also has a narrow bulkhead than the right side, so the screens offset from seat 1C. I didn’t watch anything on the short hop as I wouldn’t be able to finish anything anyway. Earbuds are included for business class passengers.
There is usually free In-flight wifi capable of instant messaging for Aeroplan members, and full internet access for a fee. However, it wasn’t activated on this particular flight.
Food
Flights under an hour only get a snack service and drinks. Passengers could choose between premium crisps, chocolates, and larger bags of the same pretzels distributed in economy. I had a KitKat and a glass of Cotes du Rhône.
Service
A bottle of water and earbuts were already at the seat when I boarded, then hot towel service was offered right after takeoff. The service was quick for this flight and I was impressed how the flight attendant uncorked a bottle of wine without using a table. The plane landed almost as soon as it took off, but the dedicated business class flight attendant still managed to..serve everyone with a smile.
