Personally, I’m a fan of rococo furniture and baroque art to the likes of Rubens, but sometimes I also venture into renaissance pieces by Cranach to appreciate their religious significance. Impressionism and pointillism, I’m afraid, are a bit too new for my tastes, as is most of Boston.

Given my background of having appreciated the Old Masters’ Gallery in Dresden and the Art History Museum in Vienna, Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts isn’t exactly my kind of art. Nonetheless, the architecture is beautiful as are the pieces by Chihuly. You can see more Chihuly in Seattle if that’s what you fancy.

It has a little bit of everything, which is useful for those seeking their own favourite styles, but it might not be the place to go for those who already have specific tastes.
