Having just opened in the early 2010’s, Chihuly Gardens and Glass is one of the newest additions to the already iconic Seattle Centre. Sharing a site with classics such as the Space Needle and the Museum of Pop Culture, the gardens and its fragile exhibits are not inferior to its neighbouring cousins.

If you’re visiting other attractions in Seattle Centre, a combo ticket can be bought at a discount to combine several attractions into one package. You might as well do that because you don’t want to miss the colourful and unique chandeliers by Dale Chihuly. His pieces are well-complimented with coloured lighting to enhance the radiant nature of hand blown glass. The large sculptures also remind visitors of the beauty that surrounds us in natural flora and fauna.

My favorite place to be is the outdoor garden where the color of stained glass change with the changing colors of the sun. There is an aptly named piece called “The Sun” outdoors facing the Space needle. If its raining outside, you can always resort to a warm meal and a coffee in the restaurant next to the glasshouse.
