Wasn’t this the police station in GTASA?
Los Angeles is the city of dreams, most of them won’t come true but nobody’s stopping you from dreaming. The reason I went was because I’ve played GTA San Andreas for about four years and I figured I could probably get around town without an issue. I recognised most of the buildings and navigated the streets without a problem.
Space Shuttle Endeavour
Between Hollywood Boulevard, Santa Monica, and Long Beach, there is the Space Shuttle Endeavour in the California Science Center, the Batlight from Warner Bros. Studios, and the very smelly downtown area. I arrived at LAX and took the shuttle bus to the light rail station, from there I took the light rail to the Compton area to change trains to the city. On the platform, there were gang members showing their gang colors and a constant wail of sirens in the background.
Santa Monica
If you’re going to LA, get a car. Downtown was even worse, there were drug addicts and cases of public urination all over the streets. When I got to Sunset Boulevard and Glendale, the situation changed drastically. Suddenly, I felt as if I was in a movie set where everyone was rich and white and the streets were spic and span! For the first time, I witnessed the level of wealth disparity in the US. Mind the gap – the wealth gap.
