Its been half a decade since my first visit to the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto. I came by bus last time, but even though I drove this time I still had to transfer onto a shuttle bus to the rear entrance. I didn’t enjoy seeing the exhibits in reverse.
Not much has changed about the place except my perception of science museums. I can now tell between a mediocre, normal, and excellent science museum. Most of them, like this one, are just normal. There’s the Earth stuff, the human body stuff, the industry stuff, the space stuff, and the periodic table stuff.
It was weird to see the CERN exhibit light up under the supermarket I used to do my shopping at in France. I lived minutes from the LHC but never thought about exactly where it was underground. I looked down at the little roundabouts on the map and I could name the shops on every corner.
If I recommended this museum to anyone before, I take that back. You’ll be overwhelmed by noisy children and obese adults eating snacks in the exhibitions.
