I started traveling extensively in Canada during the Covid-19 pandemic when I got bored and looked at where the government would permit me to travel on a map. Turns out, Ontario is the largest of the provinces and the second-larges, Quebec, is right next doors.

Before the lockdown lifted, I had traveled to over 70 municipalities just in these two provinces. And as travel restrictions eased, I ventured to the Maritimes and Prairies. I had ventured to the territories a few times in the early 2020s, but have yet to return for more in-depth visits.

I return to Vancouver every year to see old friends and family, and as an easy destination to get a change of scenery while still working from home with Ontario hours, logging off at 2pm. Newfoundland and Labrador remains elusive as I haven’t found a cost-effective way to explore it yet, and the ferry to St. Pierre and Miquelon isn’t as convenient as B.C. Ferries.
