Being the richest man in Oshawa, McLaughlin funded many community services, including this gallery. It has one piece of art from each of the Group of Seven, a Norval Morisseau, and many, many contemporary works of art that bring in immigrant perspectives of Canada. Like the Ottawa Art Gallery, many of the works are available for sale from living artists.

It displays diverse mediums such as textiles, film, and even scaffolding. Some of the works are even from the past two years, do we call this very modern art? Admission is free and I encourage a 30 minute look around.
