St-Ambroise Grapefruit IPA

Appearance – 6/10, looks a little lighter than it should for an IPA

Taste – 8/10, the fresh grapefruit taste is mixed well with a slightly bitter malty aftertaste

Texture – 7/10, it’s thicker than it should be fore a fruity beer

A unique take on fruity beer that rarely works well, but St-Ambroise has pulled it off. A good replacement for mimosas for a Sunday brunch.

St-Ambroise Brut IPA

Appearance – 7/10, a light haze on a light yellow

Taste – 8/10, bitter, but it doesn’t overpower the depth of its palette of grapefruit, sweetcorn, and hops

Texture – 7/10, pretty smooth for a strong beer

Sugary yet bitter, a well balanced beer to show yourself off as a sophisticated drinker. A tasty way to get drunk.

St-Ambroise IPA

Appearance – 8/10, looks exactly like a standard IPA should

Taste – 7/10, inoffensive IPA that you’d expect to find in a restaurant

Texture – 7/10, the light fizzy taste balances out the bitterness

Goes well with comfort food, perhaps fish and chips, a burger, or even a soggy poutine. The more cholesterol, the better the fit.

St-Ambroise Double IPA

Appearance – 8/10, the dark and hazy look is reflective of its unfiltered nature

Taste – 7/10, a stronger take on the normal IPA for the bold and drunk

Texture – 7/10, darker, but no less drinkable

Nearly identical to its single IPA cousin, except for slightly more alcohol and a hair higher bitterness. Whether you get the double or the regular IPA depends on how adventurous you feel.
