A twist on the classic tinned meat for the more adventurous, spicy flavours are great for stir fry with carbohydrates ti bring out more flavour in the food. It’s also great if you’re a student and don’t have too many spices in the kitchen cabinet, the hunk of meat that comes out of the can does everything for you.

Hot & Spicy
Appearance – 10/10 The red spicy oil makes it look the part right out of the can.
Smell – 5/10 Not bad, smells like generic spicy pad Thai from the mid-west US.
Flavour – 3/10 It’s spicy enough, but not hot enough.
Taste – 4/10 The saltiness is still there, but the spiciness overwhelms any meat flavour.
Texture – 5/10 Super oily, super soft, could have done with some structural integrity.
Total – 28/50

Jalapeño
Appearance – 8/10 Looks normal apart from what looks to be shreds of jalapeño that stick to your knife.
Smell – 9/10 It smells spicy.
Flavour – 5/10 Tastes like Spam with jalapeño, but it’s not spicy.
Taste – 6/10 Could do with a reduced sodium variation.
Texture – 2/10 I’m personally just not a fan of the jalapeño shreds.
Total – 30/50
