The medieval town of Yvoire is marketed exactly as such – a medieval town that has not seen massive change for hundreds of years. Park your car outside the town limits and walk in to see the charming stone buildings and calm narrow streets that are the veins of the area.

With a size of just six small blocks, it’s easy to see why fewer than 1000 people live in its vicinity. The people are very friendly and the view at the tip of the peninsula is very pretty. The best place to see it from is at the Château d’Yvoire surrounded by Lake Geneva on all three sides.

They said the parking was free for the first 30 minutes, but after parking for just 25 minutes they still charged me €0.80.
