The domestic lounges at Edmonton International Airport are both in the same place. After you exit the elevator, turn left for Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounge and turn right for the Plaza Premium Lounge. The elevator access is located opposite gate 54 and both lounges offer a good view of the concourse below.

Plaza Premium Lounge
This was the first time I visited a Priority Pass lounge with two guests. Although I was only allowed to bring in one complimentary guest per pass, the staff found a workaround. They admitted me and guest 1 with my main card, then used one of my four passes on my other Priority Pass. Yes, I have four complimentary memberships from various credit cards.

The wet bar offered rail drinks for free and premium drinks for an uncharge. The food was okay and wasn’t replenished often enough, so there was a flurry of excitement when something was refilled. It was crowded, but our party of three had no problem finding a booth shortly after entering. It’s not great, but it’s better than nothing.

Maple Leaf Lounge
Much quieter and larger than the Plaza Premium Lounge, the full self-serve bar is complimentary and the toilets are generally cleaner, too. Still, this location was smaller than Maple Leaf Lounges in other Canadian airports, so there was only one hot food option, two soups and a salad bar. Usually, other lounges would have two meats, one vegetable and one carbohydrate as well.

The TV area was far enough not to be nuisance to the rest of the seating areas and the business centre with cubicles, desks, and charge points are appreciated. However, it would’ve been cozier if the gas fireplace had been turned on. I know the one in Calgary works.
