Looking north of the tower

Ever since I found out that the CN Tower was the tallest structure in the world I had wanted to visit it. Alas, when I did finally get the chance to visit Toronto in 2016, it was no longer the tallest structure in the world. Even though it has been surpassed by the Burj Khalifa, it remains the tallest structure in the Americas. On a really clear day you could see up to 40km away, if you use binoculars you could even see Niagara Falls!

Looking south of the tower

The line is long, real long, it took me a good half hour to line up for the elevator. While you’re up there you could walk around its perimeter in the outdoor area. It is very windy so hold on to something while you’re up there and don’t loose your head! The food and souvenirs there are expensive so don’t bother getting anything there, you could get the same thing at 30% off back on ground level.

Glass floor

If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, you could do the sky walk outside the main pod attached to the tower only with a steel cable. But if you’d like to stay inside there’s something for you, too. The glass floor is a favorite among tourists and the streets below look like nothing more than a scale model of the city.
