Kitchener and Waterloo form the twin cities of Ontario less than two hours away from Toronto. Kitchener used to be called Berlin because of the German immigrants that settled in the area. A Pioneers Tower was built to commemorate the Mennonite families that settle in 60,000 acres of land in the are.

Woodside is the house that William Lyon Mackenzie King, the former prime minister of Canada, spent his younger years in. He spent seven years in the house between 1886 and 1893 where he picked up his family ideas. He was born in Kitchener and died near Gatineau, Quebec.
