Newark is a major international hub on the U.S. east coast, so American, Delta and United all have lounges at this airport. Terminal A is the newest with a co-location of lounges of all three mainline U.S. carriers, but the lounges in terminal C have also been renovated.
United Club (Terminal A)
The old terminal A also had an Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, but now that’s gone the United Club is the only option left for Star Alliance passengers. It’s a comfortable space with seating mainly geared towards business travellers.
Hot food options are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Alcohol is available all day.

United Club (Terminal C, near gate C123)
This is the only United Club at Newark with showers available. I visited around lunchtime and there was no queue for the showers. It was nice to feel refreshed between flights.
The largest United Club in the airport also has lots of long tables with plenty of charging ports for laptops. It’s easy to zone into work and get things done. A long sandwich bar serves three to four types of quick bites for those who don’t have time for the full buffet.

United Club (Terminal C, near gate 74)
This United Club is geared towards leisure travellers. It has the longest bar table of the three lounges and features more family friendly seating options like couches and armchairs.
The buffet is simpler, featuring more cold dishes like cheese and fruits than hot food.
